التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلّف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الجمعة الموافق 6 نوفمبر 2026، بمطار معيتيقة الدولي، سعادة السفير معاوية عثمان خالد، وكيل وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي بجمهورية السودان، وذلك لدى وصوله إلى العاصمة طرابلس لتمثيل بلاده في أعمال الدورة العادية الثانية والعشرين للمجلس التنفيذي لتجمع دول الساحل والصحراء (س.ص).
جاء اللقاء في إطار استقبال الوفود الرسمية المشاركة في أعمال الدورة، التي تستضيفها ليبيا، وحرصاً على تعزيز التواصل والتنسيق مع الدول الأعضاء، وتأكيداً على أهمية العمل الإفريقي المشترك وتطوير آليات التعاون بين دول التجمع، بما يسهم في دعم الأمن والاستقرار والتنمية في المنطقة.
وتعد هذه المشاركة تأكيداً على اهتمام جمهورية السودان بتعزيز حضورها ومساهمتها في أعمال التجمع، ودعم جهوده الرامية إلى توطيد التعاون والتكامل بين دول الساحل والصحراء.
H.E. Mr. Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met on Friday, 6 November 2026, at Mitiga International Airport, with H.E. Ambassador Muawiya Othman Khalid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sudan, upon his arrival in the capital, Tripoli, to represent his country at the 22nd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD).
The meeting took place as part of the reception of official delegations participating in the session, hosted by Libya, and reflects the commitment to strengthening communication and coordination with member states, as well as underscoring the importance of joint African action and developing cooperation mechanisms among the Community’s member states in support of security, stability and development in the region.
This participation reaffirms the Republic of Sudan’s interest in strengthening its presence and contribution to the Community’s activities and supporting its efforts to consolidate cooperation and integration among the countries of the Sahel and Sahara.
