The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Libya and the Republic of the Congo and expand prospects for cooperation across various fields.<\/p>\n

The two sides also discussed the latest political developments in Libya and regional and international efforts aimed at supporting the political process and strengthening security and stability, thereby helping to create the necessary conditions for reaching a comprehensive political settlement that preserves Libya\u2019s unity and sovereignty.<\/p>\n

The meeting emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the two countries on issues of mutual interest, as well as intensified efforts to support peaceful solutions and dialogue, in light of the role played by the Republic of the Congo, under the leadership of President Denis Sassou Nguesso, in chairing the African Union High-Level Committee on Libya and its efforts to support national reconciliation and promote consensus among Libyans.<\/p>\n

Both sides underscored the importance of the African role in supporting efforts to achieve stability in Libya and advancing political solutions based on national consensus, in a manner that safeguards the interests of the Libyan people and contributes to restoring stability throughout the country.<\/p>\n
