Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today, Sunday, 20 September 2026, with H.E. Mr. Mohamed Rahman Swaray, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sierra Leone and Coordinator of the African Committee of Ten (C10) on the Reform of the United Nations Security Council, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and frameworks for cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the political, economic, and development fields. The two sides also discussed intensifying political consultations and coordination, as well as exchanging support in regional and international forums, in a manner that enhances the presence of both countries and advances their interests within multilateral frameworks. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The two sides further discussed the ongoing preparations for the capital, Tripoli, to host the Ministerial Meeting of the African Union Committee of Ten (C10) on the Reform of the United Nations Security Council in October.
