Ms. Corinne Amori Brunet, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Benin, on the sidelines of the 49th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council (Ministers of Foreign Affairs) of the African Union, held in Ethiopia, in the presence of Mr. Alaa Aldin Al-Tajouri, Director of the African Affairs Department.<\/p>\n

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and explored prospects for expanding cooperation across various fields in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two friendly peoples.<\/p>\n

The two sides also underscored the importance of maintaining coordination, consultation, and mutual support in regional and international forums, reflecting the depth of relations between Libya and Benin and contributing to the advancement of African joint action.<\/p>\n

The discussions further covered opportunities to expand economic cooperation and encourage investment between the two countries, while emphasizing the importance of strengthening African relations and activating frameworks for cooperation within the African Union.<\/p>\n
