His Excellency Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received today, Thursday, 2 July 2026, Ms. Sophie Kemkhadze, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Libya.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the United Nations Development Programme, as well as prospects for expanding their partnership in the areas of sustainable development, institutional capacity-building, and public administration reform, in support of Libya’s national priorities and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n

They also reviewed ongoing joint programmes and projects and exchanged views on mechanisms to further enhance coordination and cooperation in implementing development initiatives, with the aim of ensuring more effective and sustainable outcomes.<\/p>\n

The two sides agreed to continue coordination and consultation, strengthen their partnership, and further develop cooperation programmes in a manner that serves their shared interests and supports Libya’s development and stability, while reaffirming the importance of continued constructive cooperation between the Government of Libya and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).<\/p>\n
