On the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the President-elect of the Republic of Djibouti, Isma\u00efl Omar Guelleh, an expanded meeting was held this afternoon, Friday, May 8, 2026, chaired by H.E. Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and attended by H.E. Mr. Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh, Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry, H.E. Mr. Ali Hassan Bahdon, Minister of Justice, Prisons and Human Rights, and H.E. Mr. Younis Ali Guedi, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the sisterly Republic of Djibouti.<\/p>\n

The meeting was also attended by the Libyan Ambassador to Djibouti, Mr. Abdelmoneim Al-Faqih, and Mr. Abdulhak Al-Khablashi, Director of Operations at OLA Energy Holding Company.<\/p>\n

The discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, industry, and exchange of expertise. The participants also discussed mechanisms for cooperation in the areas of human rights, justice, and training.<\/p>\n

Both sides agreed to continue consultation and coordination in a manner that fulfills the aspirations of the two brotherly countries and peoples<\/p>\n
