ترحب وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي بتصويت مجلس النواب بالإجماع على اعتماد مذكرة التفاهم الموقعة بين دولة ليبيا والجمهورية التركية بشأن تحديد مجالات الصلاحية البحرية في البحر الأبيض المتوسط، كما ترحب بإلغاء قراري مجلس النواب رقم (1) لسنة 2020م، بشأن رفض المصادقة على مذكرتي التفاهم المبرمتين بين البلدين، ورقم (6) لسنة 2020م، بشأن قطع العلاقات السياسية مع الجمهورية التركية.
وتؤكد الوزارة أن هذه الخطوة تمثل تطورا إيجابيا نحو تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين دولة ليبيا والجمهورية التركية، وترسيخ أواصر التعاون المشترك، بما يخدم المصالح المتبادلة للبلدين، ويسهم في دعم الاستقرار وتعزيز التعاون الإقليمي في منطقة البحر الأبيض المتوسط، وفقا للقواعد والمبادئ ذات الصلة في القانون الدولي.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation welcomes the unanimous vote by the House of Representatives to approve the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the State of Libya and the Republic of Türkiye on the delimitation of maritime jurisdiction areas in the Mediterranean Sea. The Ministry also welcomes the repeal of House of Representatives Resolution No. (1) of 2020, concerning the rejection of ratification of the two Memoranda of Understanding concluded between the two countries, and Resolution No. (6) of 2020, concerning the severance of political relations with the Republic of Türkiye.
The Ministry affirms that this step represents a positive development towards strengthening bilateral relations between the State of Libya and the Republic of Türkiye and consolidating the bonds of cooperation between the two countries, in a manner that serves their mutual interests, contributes to supporting stability, and enhances regional cooperation in the Mediterranean region, in accordance with the relevant rules and principles of international law.
