التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم السبت الموافق 17 أكتوبر 2026، معالي السيد عباس عراقجي، وزير خارجية الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، وذلك على هامش أعمال الدورة الثانية والخمسين لمجلس وزراء خارجية دول منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، المنعقدة في العاصمة العراقية بغداد، بحضور دكتور منير ابوقرين، القائم بأعمال سفارة دولة ليبيا لدى جمهورية العراق.
بحث الجانبان مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية الراهنة، والتحديات التي تشهدها المنطقة وانعكاساتها على الأمن والاستقرار، إلى جانب تبادل وجهات النظر بشأن القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وأكد السيد الباعور أهمية الحوار والدبلوماسية في حل الأزمات، وفقاً لمبادئ القانون الدولي واحترام السيادة الوطنية وسلامة الأراضي.
كما أبدى استعداد ليبيا للمساهمة في الجهود الرامية إلى إيجاد حلول سلمية للأزمات في المنطقة، وتقديم المقترحات التي من شأنها أن تسهم في دعم الأمن والاستقرار.
His Excellency Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today, Saturday, October 17, 2026, with His Excellency Mr. Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the sidelines of the 52nd Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, in the presence of Dr. Munir Abu Grein, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Libya to the Republic of Iraq.
The two sides discussed the latest regional developments and the challenges facing the region, as well as their implications for security and stability. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Mr. El-Baour emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving crises, in accordance with the principles of international law and respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He also expressed Libya’s readiness to contribute to efforts aimed at finding peaceful solutions to crises in the region and to put forward proposals that would help promote security and stability.
