شاركت دولة ليبيا اليوم الأحد الموافق 4 أكتوبر 2026، بوفد رفيع المستوى برئاسة فخامة السيد محمد المنفي، رئيس المجلس الرئاسي، ومشاركة معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، وسعادة السيد محمد آدم لينو، سفير ليبيا لدى الاتحاد الإفريقي، وسعادة السيد عبدالمطلب ثابت، مندوب دولة ليبيا الدائم لدى جامعة الدول العربية والمكلف بتسيير شؤون السفارة الليبية بالقاهرة، في أعمال الدورة الثامنة لاجتماع القمة التنسيقي لمنتصف العام للاتحاد الإفريقي، المنعقدة بمدينة العلمين الجديدة في جمهورية مصر العربية، تحت شعار: (إفريقيا على أرض العلمين).
يأتي انعقاد القمة في إطار تجسيد مقاربة إفريقية متكاملة تهدف إلى تعزيز الترابط بين الأبعاد السياسية والاقتصادية والتنموية، ودعم مسارات التكامل والاندماج القاري، بما يسهم في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة وتعزيز العمل الإفريقي المشترك.
ويشهد الاجتماع مشاركة رفيعة المستوى تضم عددا من قادة الدول والحكومات الإفريقية، ورؤساء التجمعات الاقتصادية الإقليمية، إلى جانب ممثلي القطاع الخاص والمؤسسات المالية الدولية والشركاء الدوليين.
وتكتسب هذه الدورة أهمية خاصة في مسار العمل الإفريقي المشترك، بالنظر إلى ما تستهدفه من تعزيز آليات الاندماج القاري، وحشد الموارد والقدرات اللازمة لتنفيذ البرامج والمشروعات التنموية، وتحويل الخطط والاستراتيجيات القارية إلى مشروعات ومبادرات ملموسة، بما يدعم تنفيذ مستهدفات أجندة إفريقيا 2063.
وتُعد القمة التنسيقية لمنتصف العام للاتحاد الإفريقي آلية قيادية سنوية رفيعة المستوى، أُقرت كإطار مؤسسي لتعزيز التكامل الإقليمي والقاري، وتنسيق السياسات والخطط التنفيذية بين الاتحاد الإفريقي والتجمعات الاقتصادية الإقليمية، بما يسهم في تسريع وتيرة الاندماج الاقتصادي القاري، ومتابعة وتقييم مستوى تنفيذ المشروعات الرائدة والمستهدفات التنموية المدرجة ضمن أجندة (إفريقيا 2063).
The State of Libya participated, with a high-level delegation headed by H.E. Mr. Mohamed Al-Menfi, President of the Presidential Council, and with the participation of H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; H.E. Mr. Mohamed Adam Lino, Libya’s Ambassador to the African Union; and H.E. Mr. Abdulmotalib Thabet, Libya’s Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States and Acting Chargé d’Affaires of the Libyan Embassy in Cairo, in the proceedings of the eighth session of the African Union Mid-Year Coordination Summit, held today, Sunday, October 4, 2026, in New Alamein, Arab Republic of Egypt, under the theme: (Africa on the Land of El Alamein).
The Summit is being held as part of efforts to advance an integrated African approach aimed at strengthening the interconnectedness of the political, economic, and developmental dimensions, supporting continental integration and cooperation, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, and enhancing joint African action.
The meeting brings together high-level participation, including a number of African heads of state and government, heads of Regional Economic Communities, as well as representatives of the private sector, international financial institutions, and international partners.
This session holds particular importance for the advancement of joint African action, given its focus on strengthening mechanisms for continental integration, mobilizing the resources and capacities required to implement development programmes and projects, and translating continental plans and strategies into tangible projects and initiatives, thereby supporting the implementation of the objectives of Agenda 2063.
The African Union Mid-Year Coordination Summit is an annual high-level leadership mechanism established as an institutional framework to strengthen regional and continental integration and coordinate policies and implementation plans between the African Union and the Regional Economic Communities. It contributes to accelerating the pace of continental economic integration and monitoring and assessing progress in implementing flagship projects and development objectives under Agenda 2063.
