التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الثلاثاء الموافق 29 سبتمبر 2026، وفد جمهورية إثيوبيا الفيدرالية الديمقراطية المشارك في اجتماعات الخبراء التحضيرية للدورة الثانية للجنة الوزارية المشتركة الليبية–الإثيوبية، برئاسة السفير زريهون أبيبي ييجزاو، المدير العام للشؤون الأفريقية بوزارة الخارجية الإثيوبية، وذلك بديوان الوزارة.
وحضر اللقاء السفير أشرف التائب، مدير إدارة التعاون الدولي، والسيد الطاهر حسين، مدير إدارة المراسم العامة، والسيد محمود الزرقاني، مدير إدارة الشؤون القنصلية بالوزارة والسيد محمد عمر الحامدي، مدير ادارة شؤون المغتربين.
تناول اللقاء العلاقات الثنائية بين دولة ليبيا وجمهورية إثيوبيا الفيدرالية الديمقراطية، وسبل تعزيزها وتطويرها في مختلف المجالات، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الصديقين.
كما جرى بحث نتائج اجتماعات الخبراء التحضيرية للدورة الثانية للجنة الوزارية المشتركة، ومتابعة الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعمالها، إلى جانب التأكيد على أهمية استكمال الترتيبات اللازمة لعقد الدورة الوزارية بما يسهم في دفع التعاون الثنائي وتوسيع آفاقه.
وأشاد الجانبان بمستوى العلاقات القائمة بين البلدين، مؤكدين أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور وتبادل الزيارات والخبرات، بما يعزز التعاون الليبي–الإثيوبي في المجالات ذات الاهتمام.
H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today, Tuesday, 29 September 2026, with the delegation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia participating in the preparatory expert meetings for the second session of the Libyan-Ethiopian Joint Ministerial Committee, headed by Ambassador Zerihun Abebe Yegzaw, Director General for African Affairs at the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Ashraf Al-Tayeb, Director of the International Cooperation Department; Mr. Taher Hussein, Director of the General Protocol Department; Mr. Mahmoud Al-Zurqani, Director of the Consular Affairs Department; and Mr. MohamedOmar El-Hamdi, Director of the Expatriates Affairs Department.
The meeting addressed bilateral relations between the State of Libya and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, as well as ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields, in a manner that serves the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
The two sides also discussed the outcomes of the preparatory expert meetings for the second session of the Joint Ministerial Committee and followed up on the items on its agenda, while emphasizing the importance of completing the necessary arrangements for convening the ministerial session in a manner that contributes to advancing bilateral cooperation and broadening its prospects.
Both sides commended the level of relations between the two countries, stressing the importance of continuing coordination and consultations, as well as exchanging visits and expertise, in a way that strengthens Libyan-Ethiopian cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
