شارك معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الخميس الموافق 24 سبتمبر 2026، في أعمال الاجتماع السنوي لوزراء خارجية الدول الأعضاء في منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، المنعقد بمقر الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، على هامش أعمال الدورة الحادية والثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة.
واستهل الاجتماع بكلمات لكل من وزيري خارجية الجمهورية التركية وجمهورية غامبيا، والأمين العام لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي، أعقبتها مناقشات تناولت أبرز القضايا والتطورات التي تهم العالم الإسلامي، إلى جانب التحديات الإقليمية والدولية الراهنة وسبل تعزيز التنسيق والتعاون بين الدول الأعضاء.
وخلال الاجتماع، ألقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور كلمة دولة ليبيا، أكد فيها أن القضية الفلسطينية ستظل القضية المركزية للأمة الإسلامية، مشدداً على ضرورة مواصلة الجهود الرامية إلى تثبيت وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة، وضمان وصول المساعدات الإنسانية بصورة فورية وآمنة ومستدامة، ودعم الحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني.
كما أكد معاليه أهمية تعزيز التضامن والتنسيق بين الدول الأعضاء، مشيراً إلى أن «وحدة الموقف الإسلامي ليست خياراً ظرفياً، بل ضرورة تفرضها التحديات الراهنة، وأن قوة منظمتنا تكمن في قدرتها على تحويل تضامن دولها الأعضاء إلى مواقف موحدة ومبادرات عملية وفاعلة على الساحة الدولية».
وتأتي مشاركة دولة ليبيا تأكيداً على حرصها على تعزيز حضورها وتفاعلها في إطار منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، ودعم آليات التشاور والتنسيق بين الدول الأعضاء، بما يسهم في ترسيخ العمل الإسلامي المشترك ومواجهة التحديات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, participated today, Thursday, September 24, 2026, in the annual meeting of the foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting opened with remarks by the foreign ministers of the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of The Gambia, as well as the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, followed by discussions addressing key issues and developments of concern to the Islamic world, alongside current regional and international challenges and ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation among member states.
During the meeting, H.E. Mr. El-Baour delivered the State of Libya’s statement, affirming that the Palestinian cause will remain the central issue of the Islamic Ummah. He stressed the need to continue efforts aimed at consolidating the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, ensuring the immediate, safe, and sustained delivery of humanitarian assistance, and supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
His Excellency also underscored the importance of strengthening solidarity and coordination among member states, stating that “Unity of the Islamic position is not a temporary option, but a necessity imposed by current challenges, and the strength of our Organization lies in its ability to transform the solidarity of its member states into unified positions and practical, effective initiatives on the international stage.”
The participation of the State of Libya reaffirms its commitment to strengthening its presence and engagement within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and to supporting consultation and coordination mechanisms among member states in a manner that contributes to consolidating joint Islamic action and addressing challenges of common concern.
