التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الثلاثاء 2026.09.22، المفوض الأوروبي للشؤون الداخلية والهجرة معالي السيد ماغنوس برونر، وذلك على هامش أعمال الدورة الحادية والثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك.
بحث الجانبان سبل تعزيز التعاون بين ليبيا والاتحاد الأوروبي في مجالي الهجرة والأمن، إلى جانب تطوير آليات التنسيق وتبادل الخبرات، بما يسهم في معالجة التحديات المشتركة ودعم الاستقرار والأمن في منطقة البحر المتوسط.
كما تطرّق اللقاء إلى أهمية مواصلة الحوار والتشاور بشأن القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وتعزيز الشراكة بين الجانبين بما يخدم المصالح المتبادلة ويدعم الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق إدارة أكثر فاعلية لملف الهجرة.
- H.E, Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today Tuesday 22.09.2026, with H.E, Mr. Magnus Brunner, European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
- The meeting addressed ways to strengthen cooperation between Libya and the European Union in the areas of migration and security, as well as the development of coordination mechanisms and the exchange of expertise, in a manner that contributes to addressing shared challenges and supporting stability and security in the Mediterranean region.
- The meeting also highlighted the importance of continuing dialogue and consultations on issues of mutual interest, strengthening the partnership between the two sides in a way that serves their mutual interests, and supporting efforts to achieve more effective migration management.
