شاركت دولة ليبيا، اليوم الثلاثاء الموافق 2026.09.22، في افتتاح اجتماعات الدورة الحادية والثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، المنعقدة بمقر المنظمة الدولية في نيويورك، بوفد رفيع المستوى برئاسة فخامة رئيس المجلس الرئاسي، الدكتور محمد المنفي، يرافقه معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي.
كما شارك في انطلاق أعمال الدورة معالي السيد هيتم الزحاف، وزير الشباب، إلى جانب عدد من مستشاري المجلس الرئاسي وأعضاء الوفد الليبي.
تأتي مشاركة ليبيا في أعمال المناقشة العامة رفيعة المستوى للدورة الجديدة، التي تجمع قادة ورؤساء حكومات ووزراء وممثلي الدول الأعضاء في الأمم المتحدة، لبحث أبرز القضايا والتحديات الإقليمية والدولية، وتعزيز التعاون متعدد الأطراف في مواجهة الأزمات التي يشهدها العالم.
وشهدت أعمال اليوم حضوراً رفيع المستوى، من قادة ورؤساء حكومات الدول، ومن المقرر أن تتواصل كلمات ومداخلات رؤساء الدول والحكومات على مدى أيام المناقشة العامة.
وتعقد المناقشة العامة للدورة الـ81 خلال الفترة من 22 إلى 28 سبتمبر الجاري، تحت رئاسة رئيس الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة للدورة الحالية، الدكتور خليل الرحمن، وبمشاركة ممثلي الدول الأعضاء البالغ عددها 193 دولة.
وتحمل الدورة الحالية شعار: (استعادة الثقة، وإدارة التحول: أمم متحدة تحقق النتائج للجميع)، في إطار مساعي المنظمة الدولية إلى تعزيز التعاون الدولي، ودعم أهداف التنمية المستدامة، ودفع الجهود المشتركة من أجل السلام والكرامة والمساواة.
ومن المنتظر أن تتناول أعمال الدورة جملة من الملفات والقضايا الدولية، وفي مقدمتها الأزمات والصراعات الإقليمية والدولية، وتعزيز الأمن والسلم الدوليين، والتنمية المستدامة، والتغير المناخي، والصحة العالمية، والتعاون الدولي، إضافة إلى قضايا الذكاء الاصطناعي وإصلاح وتطوير منظومة العمل متعددة الأطراف.
كما تشكل اجتماعات الجمعية العامة فرصة للوفود المشاركة لعقد لقاءات ثنائية ومتعددة الأطراف، وبحث القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وتعزيز التعاون والعلاقات بين الدول والمنظمات الدولية والإقليمية.
وتشارك ليبيا في هذه الاجتماعات تأكيداً على حضورها في المحافل الدولية، وحرصها على مواصلة التواصل مع المجتمع الدولي، وطرح القضايا والملفات المرتبطة بالشأن الليبي، إلى جانب بحث سبل دعم الاستقرار وتعزيز التعاون الدولي.
ومن المقرر أن تتواصل مشاركة الوفد الليبي في عدد من الاجتماعات واللقاءات رفيعة المستوى والفعاليات المصاحبة لأعمال الجمعية العامة خلال الأيام المقبلة.
The State of Libya participated today, Tuesday, 22 September 2026, in the opening of the meetings of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, held at the headquarters of the international organization in New York, with a high-level delegation headed by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al-Menfi, President of the Presidential Council, accompanied by H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
H.E. Mr. Haitham Al-Zahaf, Minister of Youth, also participated in the opening of the session, alongside a number of Presidential Council advisers and members of the Libyan delegation.
Libya’s participation in the high-level general debate of the new session, which brings together leaders, heads of government, ministers, and representatives of United Nations Member States, comes within the framework of addressing key regional and international issues and challenges and strengthening multilateral cooperation in responding to the crises facing the world.
The day’s proceedings witnessed high-level attendance by leaders and heads of government from various countries. Statements and interventions by heads of state and government are scheduled to continue throughout the days of the general debate.
The general debate of the 81st session is being held from 22 to 28 September, under the presidency of Dr. Khalilur Rahman, President of the United Nations General Assembly for the current session, with the participation of representatives of the 193 United Nations Member States.
The current session is being held under the theme: “Restoring Trust and Reigniting Global Solidarity: Accelerating Action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards a United Nations that Delivers for All.” The session reflects the international organization’s efforts to strengthen international cooperation, support the Sustainable Development Goals, and advance joint efforts toward peace, dignity, and equality.
The session is expected to address a range of international issues and concerns, foremost among them regional and international crises and conflicts, the promotion of international peace and security, sustainable development, climate change, global health, and international cooperation, in addition to issues related to artificial intelligence and the reform and development of the multilateral system.
The General Assembly meetings also provide an opportunity for participating delegations to hold bilateral and multilateral meetings, discuss issues of mutual interest, and strengthen cooperation and relations among states and international and regional organizations.
Libya’s participation in these meetings reaffirms its presence in international forums and its commitment to continued engagement with the international community, raising issues and files related to Libyan affairs, while exploring ways to support stability and strengthen international cooperation.
The Libyan delegation is scheduled to continue its participation in a number of high-level meetings, engagements, and events held on the margins of the General Assembly during the coming days.
