التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلّف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الأحد الموافق 20 سبتمبر 2026، معالي السيد أحمد عطاف، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والجالية الوطنية بالخارج والشؤون الإفريقية بالجمهورية الجزائرية الديمقراطية الشعبية، على هامش أعمال الدورة الحادية والثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة بنيويورك، وبحضور سعادة السفير الطاهر السني، مندوب دولة ليبيا الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة.
تناول اللقاء عمق العلاقات التاريخية والأخوية الراسخة بين البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين، وسبل الارتقاء بأطر التعاون الثنائي في المجالات السياسية والأمنية والاقتصادية والتنموية بما يترجم الإرادة المشتركة في بناء شراكة استراتيجية متكاملة.
كما تبادل الجانبان الرؤى ووجهات النظر إزاء عدد من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، لاسيما تطورات الأوضاع في منطقة الساحل الإفريقي وتداعياتها على أمن واستقرار المنطقة، إلى جانب دعم المساعي الرامية إلى ترسيخ الاستقرار وصون التوافق، مع التأكيد على توحيد المواقف وتنسيق الجهود في مختلف المحافل متعددة الأطراف، لا سيما في الفضاء الإفريقي.
H.E. Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today, Sunday, 20 September 2026, with H.E. Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The meeting was attended by H.E. Ambassador Taher Al-Sunni, Permanent Representative of the State of Libya to the United Nations.
The meeting addressed the depth of the longstanding historical and fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples, as well as ways to advance the frameworks of bilateral cooperation in the political, security, economic and development fields, in a manner that reflects the shared will to build a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, particularly developments in the Sahel region and their implications for the security and stability of the region. They also discussed supporting efforts aimed at consolidating stability and preserving consensus, while emphasizing the importance of harmonizing positions and coordinating efforts across various multilateral forums, particularly within the African framework.
