استقبل معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الاثنين الموافق 14 سبتمبر 2026، بديوان الوزارة، السيدة أولريكا ريتشاردسون، نائبة الممثل الخاص للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة والمنسقة المقيمة والمنسقة للشؤون الإنسانية للأمم المتحدة في ليبيا.
جرى خلال اللقاء بحث عدد من الملفات والقضايا ذات الصلة بالتعاون بين دولة ليبيا والأمم المتحدة، إلى جانب مناقشة وضع وكالات الأمم المتحدة العاملة في ليبيا، وأوجه التنسيق القائمة مع مؤسسات الدولة لضمان سير أعمالها وفق الأطر المعتمدة.
كما تناول الجانبان آليات حماية البعثات ووكالات الأمم المتحدة والعاملين فيها، وتعزيز التنسيق والتعاون بين الجهات الليبية المختصة والأمم المتحدة بما يضمن توفير بيئة آمنة لعمل البعثات والمنظمات الدولية، وتمكينها من أداء مهامها الإنسانية والتنموية في مختلف أنحاء البلاد.
وأكد اللقاء أهمية مواصلة التشاور والتنسيق بين الجانب الليبي والأمم المتحدة بشأن القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وتعزيز التعاون بما يخدم مصالح ليبيا ويدعم جهود الاستقرار والتنمية.
H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received today, Monday, 14 September 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, Ms. Ulrika Richardson, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Libya.
The meeting discussed a number of issues related to cooperation between the State of Libya and the United Nations, as well as the status of United Nations agencies operating in Libya and existing coordination with state institutions to ensure the continuity of their work in accordance with the established frameworks.
The two sides also discussed mechanisms for protecting United Nations missions, agencies, and their personnel, as well as strengthening coordination and cooperation between the relevant Libyan authorities and the United Nations to ensure a safe environment for the work of international missions and organizations and enable them to carry out their humanitarian and development activities throughout the country.
The meeting underscored the importance of continuing consultations and coordination between the Libyan side and the United Nations on issues of mutual interest, and of strengthening cooperation in a manner that serves Libya’s interests and supports efforts to promote stability and development.
