التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الاثنين، 7 سبتمبر 2026، مع معالي السفير محي الدين سالم أحمد إبراهيم، وزير الخارجية والتعاون الدولي بجمهورية السودان، بحضور السفير عبدالمطلب ثابت مندوب دولة ليبيا لدى جامعة الدول العربية والمكلف بتسيير أعمال السفارة الليبية لدى القاهرة، وذلك على هامش مشاركتهما في أعمال الدورة الـ166 لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية على مستوى وزراء الخارجية، المنعقدة في العاصمة المصرية القاهرة.
وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث العلاقات الثنائية بين دولة ليبيا وجمهورية السودان، وسبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك وتطويره في مختلف المجالات، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الشقيقين.
كما تناول الجانبان مستجدات الأوضاع في السودان، وأكدا أهمية دعم الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار والسلام، والحفاظ على وحدة السودان وسيادته وسلامة أراضيه.
وشدد الجانبان على أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور وتبادل وجهات النظر بشأن القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، لا سيما في إطار جامعة الدول العربية، بما يعزز العمل العربي المشترك ويدعم مصالح البلدين الشقيقين.
H.E. Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met on Monday, 7 September 2026, with H.E. Ambassador Mohi El-Din Salem Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sudan, In the presence of Ambassador Abdulmuttalib Thabet, Permanent Representative of the State of Libya to the League of Arab States and Chargé d’Affaires of the Libyan Embassy in Cairo، on the sidelines of their participation in the 166th Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the Foreign Ministers’ level, held in Cairo- Egypt.n
The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the State of Libya and the Republic of Sudan, as well as ways to strengthen and develop joint cooperation across various fields in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Sudan and underscored the importance of supporting efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, and peace, while preserving Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation and exchanging views on issues of common interest, particularly within the framework of the League of Arab States, in a manner that strengthens joint Arab action and serves the interests of the two brotherly countries.
