في ختام مشاركته في أعمال الاجتماع الطارئ لمجلس وزراء خارجية الدول الأعضاء في منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، قام معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الخميس الموافق 27 أغسطس 2026، بزيارة إلى مقر القنصلية الليبية العامة في مدينة جدة بالمملكة العربية السعودية.
وكان في استقباله رئيس البعثة ومندوب دولة ليبيا لدى منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، إلى جانب أعضاء القنصلية والموظفين العاملين بها.
حيث اطلع على سير العمل والجهود التي تبذلها في أداء مهامها، وتعزيز علاقات التواصل والتعاون مع الجهات ذات العلاقة في المملكة العربية السعودية.
كما استمع إلى عرض حول سير العمل وأبرز الاحتياجات والتحديات، مؤكداً أهمية تعزيز التنسيق والتواصل مع وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، بما يسهم في تطوير الأداء والارتقاء بمستوى الخدمات المقدمة إلى المواطنين الليبيين المقيمين والزائرين.
وقام معاليه بجولة تفقدية شملت مختلف مرافق القنصلية، اطلع خلالها على أوضاع المقر وسير العمل في مختلف الأقسام والوحدات، واستمع إلى شروحات حول طبيعة المهام التي تضطلع بها، واحتياجاتها التشغيلية، مؤكداً أهمية توفير بيئة عمل مناسبة تسهم في تعزيز كفاءة الأداء وتنفيذ المهام على الوجه الأمثل.
وأشاد بالجهود التي يبذلها رئيس وأعضاء البعثة، مثمناً حرصهم على أداء مهامهم ومسؤولياتهم، ومؤكداً ضرورة مواصلة العمل بروح المسؤولية والالتزام، وتعزيز الحضور الدبلوماسي الليبي بما يخدم مصالح دولة ليبيا ويعكس مكانتها وعلاقاتها مع الدول والمنظمات الدولية.
وتأتي هذه الزيارة في إطار متابعة وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي لأوضاع بعثاتها الدبلوماسية في الخارج، والوقوف على سير العمل بها، وتعزيز التواصل المباشر مع أعضاء البعثات، بما يسهم في تطوير خدمة المواطنين الليبيين بالخارج.
At the conclusion of his participation in the emergency meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Mr. Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, visited today, Thursday, August 27, 2026, the headquarters of the Libyan General Consulate in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He was received by the Head of Mission and Representative of the State of Libya to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, along with members of the Consulate and its staff.
During the visit, he reviewed the workflow and the efforts being undertaken in carrying out its duties, as well as strengthening communication and cooperation with relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He also listened to a briefing on the workflow, key needs, and challenges, stressing the importance of enhancing coordination and communication with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in a manner that contributes to improving performance and raising the level of services provided to Libyan citizens residing in and visiting the Kingdom.
H.E. Mr. Al-Baour conducted an inspection tour of various facilities of the Consulate, during which he reviewed the condition of the premises and the workflow across its different departments and units. He also listened to explanations regarding the nature of the tasks carried out by the Consulate and its operational needs, stressing the importance of providing an appropriate working environment that contributes to enhancing efficiency and ensuring the optimal performance of its duties.
He commended the efforts of the Head and members of the Mission, appreciating their commitment to carrying out their duties and responsibilities. He also stressed the need to continue working with a spirit of responsibility and commitment, and to strengthen Libya’s diplomatic presence in a manner that serves the interests of the State of Libya and reflects its standing and its relations with states and international organizations.
The visit comes within the framework of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s efforts to follow up on the conditions of its diplomatic missions abroad, monitor their workflow, and strengthen direct communication with members of the missions, thereby contributing to improving services for Libyan citizens abroad.
