التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الاثنين الموافق 3 أغسطس 2026، بديوان الوزارة، سعادة السيد غوفين بيجيتش، سفير الجمهورية التركية لدى دولة ليبيا.
تناول اللقاء علاقات التعاون الثنائي بين دولة ليبيا والجمهورية التركية، وسبل تعزيزها وتطويرها في مختلف المجالات، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الصديقين، كما تبادل الجانبان وجهات النظر بشأن عدد من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
واستعرض الجانبان مستجدات الأوضاع السياسية في ليبيا، والجهود المبذولة للدفع بالعملية السياسية، بما يفضي إلى تحقيق تطلعات الشعب الليبي، مؤكدين أهمية مواصلة دعم المساعي الرامية إلى تعزيز جوانب الأمن والاستقرار، والحفاظ على وحدة ليبيا وسيادتها، بما يسهم في ترسيخ التنمية والاستقرار المستدام.
كما استعرض معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور نتائج مشاركة دولة ليبيا في أعمال الدورة العادية التاسعة والأربعين للمجلس التنفيذي للاتحاد الإفريقي التي انعقدت في اديس ابابا يومي 28 و29 يوليو 2026، وما شهدته من توقيع اتفاقية استضافة دولة ليبيا للقمة الإفريقية – التركية المقبلة، مؤكداً أن هذه الخطوة تعكس الثقة المتزايدة التي تحظى بها ليبيا على الصعيدين الإفريقي والدولي، وتؤكد عودة حضورها الفاعل في المحافل الإقليمية، وأشار معاليه إلى أن استضافة القمة تمثل محطة مهمة لتعزيز الشراكة بين القارة الإفريقية والجمهورية التركية، وتوسيع آفاق التعاون في مجالات الاستثمار والتجارة والبنية التحتية والتنمية، بما يدعم المصالح المشتركة ويعزز دور ليبيا كمحور للتواصل والتعاون بين إفريقيا وشركائها.
H.E. Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received today, Monday, 3 August 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, H.E. Mr. Güven Begeç, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the State of Libya.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the State of Libya and the Republic of Türkiye and explored ways to further strengthen and expand cooperation across various fields in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two friendly countries and peoples. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
The discussions also addressed the latest political developments in Libya and the ongoing efforts to advance the political process in a manner that fulfills the aspirations of the Libyan people. Both sides underscored the importance of continuing to support initiatives aimed at enhancing security and stability, preserving Libya’s unity and sovereignty, and fostering an environment conducive to sustainable development and lasting stability.
H.E. Mr. El- Taher El-Baour also reviewed the outcomes of Libya’s participation in the 49th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, held in Addis Ababa on 28–29 July 2026, during which the Agreement on Libya’s Hosting of the Upcoming Africa–Türkiye Summit was signed. He emphasized that this milestone reflects the growing confidence enjoyed by Libya at both the African and international levels and reaffirms the country’s renewed and active role in regional forums.
H.E. further noted that hosting the Summit represents an important milestone in strengthening the strategic partnership between the African continent and the Republic of Türkiye and expanding opportunities for cooperation in the fields of investment, trade, infrastructure, and development. He added that the Summit will promote shared interests and reinforce Libya’s role as a hub for dialogue and cooperation between Africa and its partners.
