على هامش أعمال الدورة العادية التاسعة والأربعين للمجلس التنفيذي للاتحاد الإفريقي، المنعقدة بالعاصمة الإثيوبية أديس أبابا، شارك معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الاثنين الموافق 27 يوليو 2026، ممثلا لدولة ليبيا، بصفتها عضوا في اللجنة الوزارية للترشيحات الإفريقية داخل المنظومة الدولية، في اجتماع اللجنة الذي عقد برئاسة جمهورية بوتسوانا.
وتناول الاجتماع متابعة أعمال اللجنة واستعراض عدد من الترشيحات الإفريقية للمناصب في المنظومة الدولية، في إطار تنسيق المواقف الإفريقية وتعزيز حضور القارة في مختلف المنظمات والهيئات الدولية.
وجددت دولة ليبيا، خلال مشاركتها، دعمها لجهود اللجنة الرامية إلى تعزيز التنسيق والتوافق بين الدول الإفريقية بشأن الترشيحات للمناصب الدولية، بما يسهم في ترسيخ الحضور الإفريقي في المحافل الدولية، ويخدم المصالح المشتركة لدول القارة.
On the sidelines of the 49th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, His Excellency Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, participated on Monday, 27 July 2026, representing the State of Libya, in its capacity as a member of the Ministerial Committee on African Candidatures within the International System, at the Committee’s meeting chaired by the Republic of Botswana.
The meeting reviewed the Committee’s ongoing work and considered a number of African candidatures for positions within the international system, as part of efforts to coordinate African positions and strengthen the continent’s representation in international organizations and institutions.
During the meeting, the State of Libya reaffirmed its support for the Committee’s efforts to enhance coordination and consensus among African countries regarding candidatures for international positions, thereby reinforcing Africa’s presence in international fora and advancing the shared interests of the continent.
