استقبل معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الأحد الموافق 28 يونيو 2026، بديوان الوزارة، سعادة الدكتور سوريش كومار مانيكوم، وكيل وزارة الشؤون الخارجية المساعد لشؤون غرب آسيا وشمال أفريقيا بجمهورية الهند، والوفد المرافق له، الذي يقوم بزيارة رسمية إلى دولة ليبيا، وذلك بحضور السيد الحسن بن رابحة، مدير إدارة شؤون آسيا وأستراليا، والسيد أشرف التائب، مدير إدارة التعاون الدولي.
رحب معالي السيد الباعور بالضيف والوفد المرافق له، معربا عن اعتزازه بمتانة علاقات الصداقة والتعاون التي تجمع دولة ليبيا وجمهورية الهند، ومؤكدا حرص وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي على تقديم التسهيلات اللازمة لإنجاح الزيارة الرسمية، بما يسهم في تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية وتطوير التعاون المشترك بين البلدين في مختلف المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وبحث الجانبان سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية، وتفعيل آليات التعاون المشترك، لاسيما في المجالات السياسية والاقتصادية والاستثمارية، إلى جانب التعاون في مجالات الطاقة، والصحة، والتعليم، وبناء القدرات، كما تبادلا وجهات النظر بشأن القضايا الإقليمية والدولية الراهنة ذات الاهتمام المشترك، مؤكدين أهمية مواصلة التشاور والتنسيق إزاء التطورات التي تشهدها المنطقة، بما يسهم في دعم الأمن والاستقرار وتعزيز السلم الإقليمي والدولي.
كما تناول اللقاء أهمية تنشيط آليات التعاون المؤسسي بين البلدين، والعمل على تفعيل اللجنة الليبية الهندية المشتركة، وتشجيع تبادل الزيارات الرسمية بين المسؤولين ورجال الأعمال، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للشعبين الصديقين.
وناقش الجانبان أهمية تعزيز التنسيق والتشاور بين البلدين داخل المنظمات والمحافل الإقليمية والدولية، وتبادل الدعم والتأييد للترشيحات والمواقف ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما يعكس عمق علاقات الصداقة بين البلدين، ويسهم في خدمة مصالحهما المشتركة وتعزيز حضورهما على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية.
وفي ختام اللقاء، اتفق الجانبان على مواصلة التشاور والتنسيق على المستويين الثنائي ومتعدد الأطراف، وتكثيف التواصل بين وزارتي الخارجية في البلدين، بما يعزز أواصر الصداقة ويفتح آفاقًا أوسع للتعاون المشترك.
من جانبه، أعرب سعادة الدكتور سوريش كومار مانيكوم عن شكره وتقديره لحفاوة الاستقبال وكرم الضيافة، مؤكدا تطلع بلاده إلى توطيد علاقات التعاون مع دولة ليبيا، وتعزيز التواصل والتنسيق بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين الصديقين، ومشيدًا بالدور الذي تضطلع به ليبيا في دعم الاستقرار والتعاون الإقليمي.
His Excellency Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the State of Libya, received today, Sunday, 28 June 2026, Dr. Suresh Kumar Manickam, Assistant Secretary for West Asia and North Africa at the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India, and the accompanying delegation, who are on an official visit to the State of Libya. The meeting was attended by Mr. Al Hassan Bin Rabha, Director of the Asia and Australia Affairs Department, and Mr. Ashraf Al-Tayeb, Director of the International Cooperation Department.
Mr. El-Baour welcomed the distinguished guest and his delegation, expressing his appreciation for the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the State of Libya and the Republic of India. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to providing all necessary support to ensure the success of the official visit, in a manner that contributes to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries across areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways to further enhance bilateral relations and activate mechanisms for joint cooperation, particularly in the political, economic, investment, energy, health, education, and capacity-building sectors. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of continued consultation and coordination in addressing regional developments in support of peace, stability, and sustainable development.
The discussions further emphasized the importance of revitalizing institutional cooperation, activating the Libyan-Indian Joint Committee, and encouraging the exchange of official visits and business delegations to promote broader economic and investment partnerships between the two friendly countries.
The two sides also discussed the importance of strengthening coordination and consultation between the two countries within regional and international organizations and forums, as well as exchanging mutual support and endorsement for candidacies and positions of common interest. This reflects the depth of the friendly relations between the two countries and contributes to advancing their shared interests while enhancing their presence and role at both the regional and international levels.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue consultation and coordination at the bilateral and multilateral levels, strengthen communication between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, and work toward expanding cooperation in areas that serve the common interests of the Libyan and Indian peoples.
For his part, Dr. Suresh Kumar Manickam expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, reaffirming India’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation with the State of Libya and enhancing communication and coordination in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two friendly countries. He also commended Libya’s role in supporting regional stability and fostering constructive international cooperation.
