التقى السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلّف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الخميس الموافق 2026.06.11، بالسيد جيرمي برنت القائم بأعمال سفارة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية لدى ليبيا، والوفد المرافق له بحضور السيد علاء الدين الهاشمي بن رجب، مدير إدارة شؤون الأمريكتين.
بحث الجانبان، خلال اللقاء سبل تعزيز التواصل والتنسيق بين البلدين في القضايا السياسية والاقتصادية بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة.
كما تناول اللقاء عددا من الملفات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وتبادل وجهات النظر بشأن المستجدات الإقليمية والدولية، إلى جانب مناقشة تطورات الوضع السياسي في ليبيا وأهمية دعم الاستقرار ودفع العملية السياسية نحو تحقيق توافق وطني شامل يفضي إلى إجراء الانتخابات وإنهاء المراحل الانتقالية.
His Excellency, Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today Thursday, 11.06.2026, with Mr. Jeremy Berndt, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Libya, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of Mr. Alaa Al-Din Al-Hashimi Bin Rajab, Director of the Americas Affairs Department.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen communication and coordination between the two countries on political and economic issues in a manner that serves their mutual interests.
The meeting also addressed a number of issues of common interest, with the two sides exchanging views on regional and international developments. In addition, they discussed the political situation in Libya and emphasized the importance of supporting stability and advancing the political process toward achieving comprehensive national consensus, leading to the holding of elections and the conclusion of the transitional phases.
