استقبل معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، معالي السيد محمد سالم ولد مرزوك، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والتعاون الإفريقي والموريتانيين في الخارج بالجمهورية الإسلامية الموريتانية، في إطار زيارة رسمية يقوم بها إلى دولة ليبيا.
يأتي اللقاء في إطار تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين دولة ليبيا والجمهورية الإسلامية الموريتانية، وبحث سبل تطوير التعاون المشترك في مختلف المجالات.
تناول الجانبان عددا من القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وسبل تعزيز التنسيق والتشاور بين البلدين في المحافل الإقليمية والدولية، إضافة إلى بحث آفاق توسيع التعاون السياسي والاقتصادي بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة ويعزز العلاقات الأخوية بين الشعبين الشقيقين.
كما تم مناقشة التنسيق لعقد اللجنة العليا المشتركة الليبية – الموريتانية وكذلك مراجعة وتفعيل الاتفاقيات الوقعة بين البلدين.
ويأتي هذا اللقاء في سياق الجهود الدبلوماسية الرامية إلى تعزيز العلاقات الليبية الموريتانية والارتقاء بمستوى الشراكة والتعاون بين البلدين، بما يسهم في تحقيق التنمية ودعم الاستقرار والتكامل في المنطقة.
حضر الاجتماع السيد نجيب عاشور، مدير إدارة الشؤون العربية، والسيد إسماعيل ولد الشيخ احمد، وزير الخارجية الموريتاني السابق، والمرشح لمنصب الأمين العام لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي.
His Excellency Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzouk, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, as part of an official visit he is undertaking to the State of Libya.
The meeting comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the State of Libya and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and exploring ways to develop joint cooperation in various fields.
The two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, as well as ways to enhance coordination and consultation between the two countries in regional and international forums. They also explored prospects for expanding political and economic cooperation in ways that serve common interests and strengthen the fraternal relations between the two peoples.
Coordination for holding the Libyan-Mauritanian Joint Supreme Committee was also discussed, as well as reviewing and activating the agreements signed between the two countries.
This meeting takes place within the context of diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening Libyan-Mauritanian relations and advancing the level of partnership and cooperation between the two countries, contributing to development, supporting stability, and promoting integration in the region.
