استقبل معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الخميس الموافق 14 مايو 2026، بديـوان الوزارة، سعـادة السيـد ما شيوي ليانغ، سفير فوق العادة ومفوض جمهورية الصين الشعبية الجديد المعين لدى دولة ليبيا، وذلك بحضور السيد الحسن محمد رابحة، مدير إدارة شؤون آسيا وأستراليا بالوزارة.
بحث الجانبان خلال اللقاء آفاق الشراكة الثنائية بين دولة ليبيا وجمهورية الصين الشعبية في مختلف المجالات، حيث جرى التأكيد على أهمية الدفع بالعلاقات الثنائية نحو مزيد من التطور والتوسع بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين.
وتناول اللقاء مسألة إعادة افتتاح القسم القنصلي بسفارة جمهورية الصين الشعبية في ليبيا، في إطار ما من شأنه الإسهام في تسهيل حصول المواطنين الليبيين على التأشيرات والخدمات القنصلية، وتعزيز التواصل بين الشعبين الصديقين.
وأكد الجانبان على أهمية استمرار التشاور السياسي بين البلدين في إطار دعم المصالح المشتركة، كما ناقشا متابعة الإجراءات عبر القنوات الدبلوماسية ذات الصلة بشأن مشروع مذكرة تفاهم لإعفاء حاملي الجوازات الدبلوماسية من كلا البلدين من شرط الحصول على تأشيرة الدخول.
كما بحث الطرفان سبل تعزيز التنسيق والتشاور والدعم المتبادل في المحافل الدولية، بما يعكس متانة العلاقات الثنائية بين دولة ليبيا وجمهورية الصين الشعبية، ويجسد حرص البلدين على دعم القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وفي ختام اللقاء، جدد الجانبان التأكيد على مواصلة تعزيز الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين البلدين في مختلف المجالات، بما يسهم في دعم جهود التنمية وتحقيق المصالح المشتركة.
H.E, Mr. EL- Taher El-Baour, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received today, Thursday, 14 May 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, His Excellency Mr. Ma Xuwei Liang, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Libya, in the presence of Mr. Al-Hassan Mohammed Rabha, Director of the Department of Asian and Australian Affairs at the Ministry.
The two sides discussed prospects for bilateral partnership between the State of Libya and the People’s Republic of China across various fields, with emphasis on advancing bilateral relations toward further development and expansion in a way that serves the interests of both countries.
The meeting also addressed the issue of reopening the consular section of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Libya, as a step that would contribute to facilitating Libyan citizens’ access to visas and consular services, and strengthening communication between the two friendly peoples.
Both sides stressed the importance of continued political consultations between the two countries in support of shared interests. They also discussed follow-up procedures through the relevant diplomatic channels regarding a draft memorandum of understanding to exempt holders of diplomatic passports of both countries from visa requirements for entry.
The two sides further reviewed ways to enhance coordination, consultation, and mutual support in international forums, reflecting the strong bilateral relations between the State of Libya and the People’s Republic of China and demonstrating both countries’ commitment to supporting issues of common interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries across various fields, in a manner that supports development efforts and serves mutual interests.
