التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلّف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الأربعاء الموافق 13 مايو 2026، بديوان الوزارة، مع معالي السيد عبد اللطيف الطاهر، وزير الزراعة والثروة الحيوانية.
واستعرض الجانبان، خلال اللقاء، سبل تعزيز التعاون مع المجتمع الدولي والدول الشقيقة والصديقة في مجالي الزراعة والثروة الحيوانية، على المستويين الثنائي ومتعدد الأطراف، إلى جانب تعزيز التنسيق مع المنظمات الدولية ذات العلاقة، بما ينسجم مع أولويات الدولة الليبية الرامية إلى تطوير القطاع الزراعي ودعم الثروة الحيوانية.
كما تناول اللقاء أهمية توسيع مجالات التعاون في التدريب والتأهيل، والتعاون العلمي والأكاديمي، وتبادل الخبرات في مجال الصحة الحيوانية، بما يسهم في رفع كفاءة الكوادر الوطنية، وتعزيز القدرات الفنية والمؤسسية.
وبحث الجانبان آفاق وآليات التعاون مع المؤسسات والمنظمات الدولية في مجالات الوقاية والحجر الزراعي، وحماية الثروة النباتية، والحد من انتشار الآفات والأمراض الزراعية، بما يضمن سلامة القطاع الزراعي ويحدّ من المخاطر التي تهدد الإنتاج النباتي.
وأكد اللقاء أهمية تطوير آليات العمل ورفع مستوى الجاهزية، بما يواكب متطلبات المرحلة، ويسهم في تعزيز منظومة الوقاية والحجر الزراعي، ودعم جهود الدولة في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي والتنمية المستدامة.
حضر اللقاء السيد أشرف محمد التائب، مدير إدارة التعاون الدولي، والسيد سفيان بلخير، مدير إدارة المنظمات الدولية.
His Excellency Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today, Wednesday, 13 May 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, with His Excellency Mr. Abdul Latif Al-Taher, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation with the international community and with brotherly and friendly countries in the fields of agriculture and livestock, at both the bilateral and multilateral levels, in addition to enhancing coordination with relevant international organizations, in line with the priorities of the Libyan state aimed at developing the agricultural sector and supporting livestock resources.
The meeting also addressed the importance of expanding cooperation in the areas of training and capacity-building, scientific and academic cooperation, and the exchange of expertise in the field of animal health, in a manner that contributes to improving the efficiency of national personnel and strengthening technical and institutional capacities.
The two sides further discussed prospects and mechanisms for cooperation with international institutions and organizations in the areas of agricultural quarantine and prevention, plant protection, and limiting the spread of agricultural pests and diseases, in order to safeguard the agricultural sector and reduce risks threatening crop production.
The meeting underscored the importance of developing working mechanisms and enhancing preparedness levels in line with the requirements of the current phase, thereby contributing to strengthening the agricultural prevention and quarantine system and supporting the state’s efforts to achieve food security and sustainable development.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Ashraf Mohammed Al-Tayeb, Director of the International Cooperation Department, and Mr. Sufian Belkhir, Director of the International Organizations Department.
