التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، معالي السيد كونستان سيرج بوندا، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والفرنكوفونية والكونغوليين في الخارج بجمهورية الكونغو، وذلك على هامش أعمال الاجتماع الوزاري لمجموعة العشرة الإفريقية (C10)، المنعقد بالعاصمة طرابلس، بحضور السيد علاء الدين التاجوري مدير إدارة الشؤون الافريقية، والسيد عادل السباعي، القائم بأعمال السفارة الليبية في بجمهورية الكونغو.
تناول اللقاء سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين ليبيا وجمهورية الكونغو، وتطوير آفاق التعاون المشترك في مختلف المجالات، إلى جانب تبادل وجهات النظر بشأن القضايا الإفريقية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، والتأكيد على أهمية تعزيز التنسيق والتشاور بين البلدين بما يدعم العمل الإفريقي المشترك ويسهم في تحقيق تطلعات شعوب القارة نحو الاستقرار والتنمية.
كما بحث الجانبان مستجدات الأوضاع السياسية في ليبيا، والجهود الإقليمية والدولية الرامية إلى دعم المسار السياسي، وتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار، بما يسهم في تهيئة الظروف اللازمة للوصول إلى تسوية سياسية شاملة تحفظ وحدة ليبيا وسيادتها.
وأكد اللقاء أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور بين البلدين إزاء القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وتكثيف الجهود الداعمة للحلول السلمية والحوار، في ضوء الدور الذي تضطلع به جمهورية الكونغو، برئاسة الرئيس دينيس ساسو نغيسو، في قيادة اللجنة رفيعة المستوى للاتحاد الأفريقي المعنية بليبيا، وجهودها الرامية إلى دعم المصالحة الوطنية وتعزيز التوافق بين الليبيين.
وشدد الجانبان على أهمية الدور الأفريقي في دعم الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق الاستقرار في ليبيا، وتعزيز الحلول السياسية التي تستند إلى التوافق الوطني، بما يحفظ مصالح الشعب الليبي ويسهم في استعادة الاستقرار في البلاد.
His Excellency Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with His Excellency Mr. Constant Serge Bounda, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Congolese Abroad of the Republic of Congo, on the Sidelines of the C10 Ministerial Meeting in Tripoli,
in the presence of Mr. Alaa Al-Din Al-Tajouri, Director of the African Affairs Department and Mr. Adel Al-Sibai, Chargé d’Affaires of the Libyan Embassy in the Republic of the Congo.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Libya and the Republic of the Congo and expand prospects for cooperation across various fields.
The two sides also discussed the latest political developments in Libya and regional and international efforts aimed at supporting the political process and strengthening security and stability, thereby helping to create the necessary conditions for reaching a comprehensive political settlement that preserves Libya’s unity and sovereignty.
The meeting emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the two countries on issues of mutual interest, as well as intensified efforts to support peaceful solutions and dialogue, in light of the role played by the Republic of the Congo, under the leadership of President Denis Sassou Nguesso, in chairing the African Union High-Level Committee on Libya and its efforts to support national reconciliation and promote consensus among Libyans.
Both sides underscored the importance of the African role in supporting efforts to achieve stability in Libya and advancing political solutions based on national consensus, in a manner that safeguards the interests of the Libyan people and contributes to restoring stability throughout the country.
