التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الاربعاء الموافق 23 سبتمبر 2026، السيدة فانيسا فريزر، وكيلة الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة والممثلة الخاصة للأمين العام المعنية بالأطفال والنزاع المسلح، وذلك على هامش أعمال الدورة الحادية والثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة المنعقدة في نيويورك.
وتناول اللقاء سبل تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق بين دولة ليبيا والأمم المتحدة في مجال حماية الأطفال المتأثرين بالنزاعات المسلحة، إلى جانب بحث الجهود الرامية إلى دعم آليات الحماية وتعزيز الاستجابة للتحديات ذات الصلة.
كما تبادل الجانبان وجهات النظر حول عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، مؤكدين أهمية مواصلة التعاون والتنسيق بما يسهم في تعزيز حماية الأطفال وصون حقوقهم.
H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today, Wednesday, 23 September 2026, with Ms. Vanessa Fraser, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the State of Libya and the United Nations in the field of protecting children affected by armed conflict, as well as efforts to support protection mechanisms and enhance responses to related challenges.
The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination in a manner that contributes to strengthening the protection of children and safeguarding their rights.
