ألقى فخامة رئيس المجلس الرئاسي، الدكتور محمد المنفي، اليوم الاربعاء الموافق 23 سبتمبر 2026، كلمة دولة ليبيا أمام أعمال الدورة الحادية والثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، بحضور معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، ومعالي وزير الشباب، وعدد من المستشارين وأعضاء الوفد الليبي.
وأكد فخامة الرئيس أهمية دعم وحدة ليبيا واستقرارها، وتوجيه الشراكات الدولية نحو الاستثمار والإعمار والتنمية، بعيداً عن التنافس على النفوذ، معلناً إطلاق اللجنة الوطنية للتهدئة وبناء الثقة لدعم المصالحة وتهيئة الظروف الملائمة للمسار السياسي والانتخابي.
كما تناولت الكلمة القضية الفلسطينية، حيث دعا فخامته إلى ضمان فاعلية تنفيذ قرارات مجلس الأمن، بعيداً عن الانتقائية وازدواجية المعايير.
H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al-Menfi, President of the Presidential Council, delivered the State of Libya’s statement today, Wednesday, 23 September 2026, during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, in the presence of H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Minister of Youth, and a number of advisers and members of the Libyan delegation.
In his address, President Al-Menfi underscored the importance of supporting Libya’s unity and stability and directing international partnerships toward investment, reconstruction, and development, rather than competition for influence. He also announced the launch of the National Committee for De-escalation and Confidence-Building to support reconciliation and create favorable conditions for the political and electoral processes.
The statement also addressed the Palestinian issue, with President Al-Menfi calling for ensuring the effective implementation of Security Council resolutions, free from selectivity and double standards.
