التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلّف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الاثنين الموافق 21 سبتمبر 2026، سعادة السفير دونالد بلوم، مساعد وزير الخارجية الأمريكي لشؤون الشرق الأدنى، وذلك على هامش أعمال الدورة الحادية والثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك.
بحث الجانبان آخر تطورات الوضع السياسي الراهن و الجهود المبذولة لتوحيد مؤسسات الدولة، وكيفية دعم خارطة الطريق التي ترعاها بعثة الأمم المتحدة للدعم في ليبيا، وسبل تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في ليبيا.
كما تناول اللقاء أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور بين الجانبين بشأن القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما يدعم الاستقرار والسيادة الوطنية في ليبيا.
H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today, Monday, 21 September 2026, with H.E. Ambassador Donald Blome, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in the current political situation, efforts to unify Libya’s state institutions, ways to support the roadmap sponsored by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), and means of strengthening security and stability in Libya.
The meeting also addressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultations between the two sides on issues of common interest, in a manner that supports stability and national sovereignty in Libya.
