استقبل دولة السيد علي فالح الزيدي، رئيس مجلس الوزراء بجمهورية العراق اليوم الأحد الموافق 2026.08.23، بالعاصمة بغداد، معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي والوفد المرافق له، في إطار زيارته الرسمية إلى جمهورية العراق بمناسبة انعقاد أعمال اللجنة الليبية-العراقية المشتركة يومي 23 و24 اغسطس الجاري.
تناول اللقاء العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين وسبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك في مختلف المجالات، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الشقيقين.
خلال اللقاء، قام معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، بتسليم دولة السيد رئيس مجلس الوزراء العراقي، رسالة من دولة رئيس حكومة الوحدة الوطنية السيد عبد الحميد الدبيبة، أكد فيها أهمية تعزيز أواصر العلاقات الثنائية بين دولة ليبيا وجمهوريةالعراق، ودعم التعاون المشترك بين البلدين الشقيقين.
كما تضمنت الرسالة دعوة موجهة من دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء بحكومة الوحدة الوطنية إلى دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء العراقي لزيارة دولة ليبيا في أقرب فرصة ممكنة، وتطلعه لاستمرار التنسيق والتشاور لتوحيد الرؤى والمواقف في المحافل الإقليمية والدولية، إزاء التحديات التي تمر بها المنطقة العربية.
كما استعرض معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور آخر تطورات الوضع السياسي في ليبيا، إلى جانب تبادل وجهات النظر بشأن عدد من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، والتأكيد على أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور بين البلدين.
من جانبه، أكد السيد الزيدي الأهمية التي توليها الحكومة العراقية للتعاون وفرص التكامل في المجالات الاقتصادية، التي تصب في مسار تقوية القدرات، ودعم جوانب التنمية المستدامة، وزيادة أسس الشراكة الإيجابية.
His Excellency Mr. Ali Faleh Al-Zeidi, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, received today, Sunday, 23 August 2026, in the capital Baghdad, His Excellency Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and his accompanying delegation, as part of his official visit to the Republic of Iraq on the occasion of the meetings of the Libyan-Iraqi Joint Committee, being held on 23 and 24 August.
The meeting addressed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
During the meeting, His Excellency Mr. El- Taher El-Baour handed the Iraqi Prime Minister a letter from His Excellency Mr. Abdul Hamid Al-Dbeibah, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the State of Libya and the Republic of Iraq and supporting joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The letter also included an invitation from the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity to the Iraqi Prime Minister to visit Libya at the earliest possible opportunity. It further expressed his aspiration to continue coordination and consultations to harmonize visions and positions in regional and international forums regarding the challenges facing the Arab region.
His Excellency Mr. El- Taher El-Baour also reviewed the latest developments in the political situation in Libya, in addition to exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, and underscoring the importance of continuing coordination and consultations between the two countries.
For his part, Mr. Al-Zeidi affirmed the importance the Iraqi government attaches to cooperation and opportunities for integration in the economic fields, which contribute to strengthening capabilities, supporting sustainable development, and expanding the foundations of a positive partnership.
