استقبل معالي السيد هيبت الحلبوسي، رئيس مجلس النواب بجمهورية العراق، اليوم الأحد، الموافق 23 أغسطس 2026، معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، وذلك على هامش زيارته الرسمية إلى جمهورية العراق، للمشاركة في أعمال اللجنة الليبية-العراقية المشتركة التي تعقد يومي 23 و24 أغسطس الجاري.
تناول اللقاء العلاقات الثنائية بين ليبيا والعراق، وسبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك وتطويره في مختلف المجالات، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الشقيقين.
وبحث الجانبان تعزيز التواصل مع المؤسسات التشريعية في البلدين، حيث أشار معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور في هذا الصدد إلى أهمية الاستفادة من التجربة العراقية.
من جانبه، أكد رئيس مجلس النواب العراقي على أهمية تعزيز التواصل بين المؤسسين التشريعيتين وتفعيل اللجان المشتركة بين البلدين الشقيقين.
كما جرى خلال اللقاء استعراض آخر التطورات والمستجدات في البلدين، إلى جانب بحث عدد من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وتبادل وجهات النظر بشأنها، والتأكيد على أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور بما يعزز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
H.E. Mr. Haibat Al-Halbousi, Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Republic of Iraq, received H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, today, Sunday, 23 August 2026, on the sidelines of his official visit to the Republic of Iraq to participate in the meetings of the Libyan-Iraqi Joint Committee, being held on 23 and 24 August.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations between Libya and Iraq and ways to strengthen and develop cooperation across various fields, in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
The two sides also discussed enhancing communication between the legislative institutions of the two countries. In this regard, H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour underscored the importance of benefiting from the Iraqi experience.
For his part, the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives emphasized the importance of strengthening communication between the two legislative institutions and activating the joint committees between the two brotherly countries.
The meeting also reviewed the latest developments and developments in both countries, in addition to discussing a number of regional and international issues of common interest and exchanging views on them. The two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation in a manner that contributes to strengthening security and stability in the region.
