التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، بمعالي السيد كونستان سيرج بوندا، وزير خارجية جمهورية الكونغو (برازافيل)، وذلك على هامش أعمال الدورة العادية التاسعة والأربعين للمجلس التنفيذي للاتحاد الإفريقي المنعقدة في العاصمة الإثيوبية أديس أبابا يومي 28 و29 يوليو 2026.
وتناول اللقاء آفاق تطوير العلاقات الثنائية بين دولة ليبيا وجمهورية الكونغو، وسبل تعزيز التعاون في مختلف المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما يسهم في توطيد الشراكة بين البلدين ودعم المصالح المشتركة لشعبيهما.
كما بحث الجانبان عددا من القضايا المطروحة على أجندة الاتحاد الإفريقي، وتبادلا وجهات النظر بشأن مستجدات الأوضاع في القارة الإفريقية، مؤكدين أهمية تعزيز التشاور والتنسيق بين الدول الأعضاء لمواجهة التحديات المشتركة ودعم جهود السلم والاستقرار والتنمية.
وأكد الطرفان حرصهما على مواصلة التعاون داخل الأطر الإفريقية متعددة الأطراف، والعمل المشترك من أجل تعزيز التكامل القاري وتفعيل دور الاتحاد الإفريقي في معالجة القضايا ذات الأولوية بما يخدم تطلعات الشعوب الإفريقية نحو التنمية والازدهار، وفي هذا الإطار ثمن الجانبان اعادة افتتاح مقر تجمع دول الساحل والصحراء (س.ص) في العاصمة الليبية طرابلس.
His Excellency Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with His Excellency Mr. Constant Serge Bounda, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville), on the sidelines of the 49th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 28–29 July 2026.
The meeting discussed prospects for advancing bilateral relations between the State of Libya and the Republic of the Congo, as well as ways to enhance cooperation across various fields of mutual interest, with a view to strengthening the partnership between the two countries and serving the shared interests of their peoples.
The two sides also reviewed a number of issues on the African Union agenda and exchanged views on recent developments across the African continent. They underscored the importance of strengthening consultation and coordination among Member States to address common challenges and support efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing cooperation within African multilateral frameworks and to working jointly to advance continental integration and enhance the role of the African Union in addressing priority issues in a manner that meets the aspirations of African peoples for development and prosperity.
In this context, the two sides welcomed the reopening of the headquarters of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and emphasized the importance of revitalizing the role of the Community in promoting regional cooperation, integration, and sustainable development among its Member States.
