التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الثلاثاء الموافق 2026.07.28، معالي السيدة كورين أموري برونيه، وزيرة خارجية جمهورية بنين، وذلك على هامش أعمال الدورة التاسعة والأربعين العادية للمجلس التنفيذي (وزراء الخارجية) للاتحاد الأفريقي المنعقدة في اثيوبيا بحضور السيد علاء الدين التاجوري، مدير ادارة الشؤون الافريقية.
تناول اللقاء سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، وبحث آفاق تطوير التعاون المشترك في مختلف المجالات، بما يسهم في خدمة المصالح المتبادلة للشعبين الصديقين.
كما أكد الجانبان أهمية استمرار التنسيق والتشاور وتبادل الدعم في المحافل الإقليمية والدولية، بما يعكس عمق العلاقات بين ليبيا وبنين، ويعزز العمل الأفريقي المشترك.
وشملت المباحثات كذلك فرص توسيع التعاون الاقتصادي وتشجيع الاستثمارات بين البلدين، إلى جانب التأكيد على أهمية تعزيز العلاقات الأفريقية وتفعيل أطر التعاون داخل الاتحاد الأفريقي.
وتبادل الطرفان وجهات النظر بشأن مستجدات الأوضاع السياسية والأمنية في المنطقة، مؤكدين أهمية دعم الجهود الرامية إلى ترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار وتعزيز السلم والتنمية في القارة الأفريقية.
H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, with H.E. Ms. Corinne Amori Brunet, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Benin, on the sidelines of the 49th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council (Ministers of Foreign Affairs) of the African Union, held in Ethiopia, in the presence of Mr. Alaa Aldin Al-Tajouri, Director of the African Affairs Department.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and explored prospects for expanding cooperation across various fields in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two friendly peoples.
The two sides also underscored the importance of maintaining coordination, consultation, and mutual support in regional and international forums, reflecting the depth of relations between Libya and Benin and contributing to the advancement of African joint action.
The discussions further covered opportunities to expand economic cooperation and encourage investment between the two countries, while emphasizing the importance of strengthening African relations and activating frameworks for cooperation within the African Union.
The two parties also exchanged views on the latest political and security developments in the region, stressing the importance of supporting efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability and promoting peace and development across the African continent.
