وصل معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الأحد الموافق 26 يوليو 2026، إلى العاصمة الإثيوبية أديس أبابا، للمشاركة في أعمال الدورة العادية التاسعة والأربعين للمجلس التنفيذي للاتحاد الأفريقي، التي تستضيفها جمهورية إثيوبيا الفيدرالية الديمقراطية بمقر الاتحاد الأفريقي، وذلك برفقة السيد علاء الدين التاجوري، مدير إدارة الشؤون الأفريقية.
وكان في استقبال معاليه والوفد المرافق له سعادة السيد محمد آدم لينو، المندوب الدائم لدولة ليبيا لدى الاتحاد الأفريقي، إلى جانب عدد من ممثلي إدارة المراسم بوزارة الخارجية الإثيوبية.
ومن المقرر أن يناقش المجلس التنفيذي، بمشاركة وزراء الخارجية وممثلي الدول الأعضاء، عدداً من القضايا المدرجة على جدول أعماله، وفي مقدمتها تعزيز العمل الأفريقي المشترك، ومتابعة تنفيذ قرارات الاتحاد الأفريقي، فضلا عن بحث الموضوعات المتعلقة بالسلم والأمن والتنمية المستدامة والتكامل القاري.
وتأتي مشاركة دولة ليبيا في هذه الدورة تأكيدا لالتزامها بدعم جهود الاتحاد الأفريقي وتعزيز التعاون والتنسيق مع الدول الأفريقية، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة ويسهم في تحقيق الاستقرار والتنمية المستدامة في القارة الأفريقية.
Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, arrived today, Sunday, 26 July 2026, in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, to participate in the 49th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, which is being hosted by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia at the headquarters of the African Union. He is accompanied by Mr. Alaa Al-Din Al-Tajouri, Director of the African Affairs Department.
Upon arrival, Mr. El-Baour and the accompanying delegation were received by H.E. Mohamed Adam Lino, Permanent Representative of the State of Libya to the African Union, along with representatives of the Protocol Department of the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Executive Council, with the participation of Foreign Ministers and representatives of Member States, is expected to discuss a number of agenda items, foremost among them strengthening joint African action, following up on the implementation of African Union decisions, and addressing issues related to peace and security, sustainable development, and continental integration.
Libya’s participation in this session reflects its commitment to supporting the efforts of the African Union and enhancing cooperation and coordination with African countries in a manner that serves common interests and contributes to achieving stability and sustainable development across the African continent.
