استقبل معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الاثنين الموافق 06 يوليو 2026، بمقر ديوان الوزارة، سعادة السيد عبد الفتاح شيخ أحمد، سفير جمهورية الصومال الفيدرالية لدى دولة ليبيا، وذلك بمناسبة مباشرته مهام عمله سفيرا لبلاده.
تناول اللقاء بحث العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الشقيقين، وسبل تعزيزها وتطويرها في مختلف المجالات.
وفي هذا الإطار، اتفق الجانبان على تعزيز التنسيق المشترك عبر القنوات الدبلوماسية، بهدف تفعيل الاتفاقيات الموقعة بين البلدين، والترتيب لعقد اجتماع اللجنة الليبية–الصومالية المشتركة في أقرب الآجال.
كما بحث الجانبان الترتيبات الخاصة بالزيارة المرتقبة لدولة رئيس وزراء جمهورية الصومال الفيدرالية، معالي السيد حمزة عبدي بري، إلى دولة ليبيا.
وفي ختام اللقاء، اتفق الجانبان على مواصلة التشاور والتنسيق بما يسهم في تعزيز التعاون الثنائي، والارتقاء بالعلاقات بين البلدين إلى آفاق أرحب، ويحقق المصالح المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الشقيقين، تعزيزا لأواصر التعاون والصداقة بينهما.
حضر اللقاء السيد نجيب الرياني، مدير إدارة الشؤون العربية، والسيد مالك الأصيفر، مسؤول ملف جمهورية الصومال الفيدرالية.
H.E. Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received on Monday, 6 July 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, H.E. Mr. Abdulfattah Sheikh Ahmed, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the State of Libya, on the occasion of the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Libya.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the fraternal relations between the two countries and discussed ways to strengthen and expand cooperation across various fields.
In this context, both sides agreed to enhance coordination through diplomatic channels with a view to activating the bilateral agreements concluded between the two countries and making the necessary arrangements to convene the Libyan–Somali Joint Committee at the earliest opportunity.
The two sides also discussed the arrangements for the forthcoming visit of H.E. Mr. Hamza Abdi Barre, Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, to the State of Libya.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue consultations and coordination in a manner that would strengthen bilateral cooperation, advance relations between the two countries to broader horizons, serve the common interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples, and further consolidate the bonds of friendship and cooperation between them.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Najeeb Al-Rayani, Director of the Arab Affairs Department, and Mr. Malek Al-Asifer, Officer responsible for the Federal Republic of Somalia Desk.
