شارك معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الاثنين الموافق 2026.06.22، في أعمال الاجتماع المستأنف للدورة العادية (165) لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية على مستوى وزراء الخارجية، بالعاصمة الأردنية عمان، والذي يأتي استكمالا لأعمال الدورة العادية الـ165 التي انعقدت في مارس الماضي برئاسة البحرين عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي.
بحث الاجتماع عددا من القضايا والتطورات السياسية والأمنية التي تشهدها المنطقة، فضلا عن الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعمال المجلس.
سبق الجلسة الوزارية الرسمية اجتماع تشاوري مغلق لوزراء الخارجية العرب، هدف إلى تنسيق المواقف وتبادل وجهات النظر بشأن القضايا المطروحة، بما يسهم في تعزيز العمل العربي المشترك ودعم الجهود الرامية إلى مواجهة التحديات الإقليمية الراهنة.
وشهدت الجلسة العامة للاجتماع مناقشة عدد من البنود المدرجة على جدول الأعمال، وفي مقدمتها إقرار تعيين وزير الخارجية المصري الأسبق، السيد نبيل فهمي، أمينا عاما لجامعة الدول العربية، وذلك استنادا إلى التفويض الصادر عن القادة العرب خلال القمة العربية الأخيرة.
His Excellency Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, participated today, Monday, 22 June 2026, in the resumed meeting of the 165th Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of Foreign Ministers, held in Amman, Jordan. The meeting was convened as a continuation of the 165th Ordinary Session, which was held in March under the chairmanship of the Kingdom of Bahrain via videoconference.
The meeting discussed a number of political and security issues and developments affecting the region, in addition to the items included on the Council’s agenda.i
The official ministerial session was preceded by a closed consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers aimed at coordinating positions and exchanging views on the issues under discussion, thereby contributing to the strengthening of joint Arab action and supporting efforts to address current regional challenges.
During the plenary session, participants discussed several agenda items, foremost among them the approval of the appointment of former Egyptian Foreign Minister Mr. Nabil Fahmy as Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, pursuant to the mandate granted by Arab leaders at the most recent Arab Summit.
