استقبل معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، بحضور السيد أبوبكر الطويل، مدير إدارة الشؤون الأوروبية، بديوان الوزارة اليوم الاثنين الموافق 15 يونيو 2026، وفد وزارة الشؤون الخارجية السويسرية، برئاسة سعادة السفيرة مونيكا كارولين، مديرة إدارة شمال إفريقيا والشرق الأوسط، وبحضور السيدة سراب أكغول، نائبة مديرة إدارة شمال إفريقيا والشرق الأوسط وسعادة سفير سويسرا لدى دولة ليبيا السيد جوزيف رينغلي.
ناقش الجانبان العلاقات الثنائية بين دولة ليبيا والاتحاد السويسري وآفاق تعزيزها بما يخدم مصالح الدولتين.
كما اعطى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور صورة عن الوضع السياسي والعملية السياسية والجهود اللييية والدولية المبذولة للوصول الى الانتخابات العامة.
من جانبها، عبرت السيدة السفيرة السويسرية عن امتنانها لزيارة طرابلس وما شهدته من انجازات في عدد من المجالات لا سيما المجال الأمني.
His Excellency Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received today, Monday, 15 June 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, a delegation from the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, headed by H.E. Ambassador Monika Caroline, Director of the North Africa and Middle East Division. The meeting was attended by Mr. Abu Baker Al-Tawil, Director of the European Affairs Department, Ms. Serap Akgül, Deputy Director of the North Africa and Middle East Division, and H.E. Mr. Joseph Renggli, Ambassador of Switzerland to the State of Libya.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the State of Libya and the Swiss Confederation and explored prospects for further strengthening cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of both countries.
Mr. El-Baour also provided an overview of the political situation, the political process, and the Libyan and international efforts being undertaken to reach general elections.
For her part, the Swiss Ambassador expressed her appreciation for visiting Tripoli and commended the achievements realized in a number of sectors, particularly in the field of security.
