التقى معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الأحد الموافق 14 يونيو 2026، سعادة السفير خوسيه إغناسيو مادرازو بوليفار، سفير الولايات المتحدة المكسيكية، فوق العادة والمفوض، لدى دولة ليبيا، وذلك بحضور السيد علاء الدين الهاشمي بن رجب، مدير إدارة شؤون الأمريكتين، والسيد إسماعيل إنبية، الوزير المفوض بالإدارة.
وفي مستهل اللقاء، رحب معالي السيد الباعور بسعادة السفير، مهنئا إياه بمناسبة اعتماده سفيرا لبلاده لدى دولة ليبيا، ومتمنيا له التوفيق والنجاح في أداء مهامه بما يسهم في تعزيز علاقات الصداقة والتعاون بين البلدين.
وتناول الجانبان سبل تطوير وتعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين ليبيا والولايات المتحدة المكسيكية في مختلف المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك. وفي هذا السياق، دعا معالي السيد الباعور الجانب المكسيكي إلى افتتاح سفارة مقيمة في ليبيا، بما يعكس متانة العلاقات الثنائية ويسهم في تعزيز آفاق التعاون بين البلدين.
من جانبه، أعرب سعادة السفير المكسيكي عن شكره وتقديره لمعالي السيد الباعور، مؤكدا حرص بلاده على تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية مع ليبيا وتطويرها، لا سيما في مجال حماية الآثار وتبادل الخبرات، تنفيذا للاتفاقية المبرمة بين البلدين في هذا الشأن. كما بحث الجانبان فرص توسيع التعاون في مجالي الخدمات النفطية والاستثمار في قطاع المياه.
وفي ختام اللقاء، أكد الجانبان أهمية مواصلة التشاور والتنسيق بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة، ويعزز علاقات الصداقة والتعاون بين البلدين والشعبين الصديقين.
Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met on Sunday, 14 June 2026, with H.E. Ambassador José Ignacio Madrazo Bolívar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Alaa El-Din El-Hashmi Ben Rajab, Director of the Americas Department, and Mr. Ismail Inbiya, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Department.
At the outset of the meeting, Mr. El-Baour welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated him on his accreditation as Ambassador of his country to the State of Libya, wishing him every success in his mission and expressing his confidence that his tenure would contribute to strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides discussed ways to further develop and strengthen bilateral relations between Libya and the United Mexican States across various fields of mutual interest. In this context, Mr. El-Baour invited the Mexican side to establish a resident embassy in Libya, reflecting the strength of bilateral relations and contributing to the advancement of cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, the Mexican Ambassador expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Mr. El-Baour, reaffirming his country’s commitment to enhancing and advancing bilateral relations with Libya, particularly in the field of cultural heritage protection and the exchange of expertise, in implementation of the agreement concluded between the two countries in this regard. The two sides also explored opportunities to expand cooperation in the areas of oil services and investment in the water sector.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing consultation and coordination in a manner that serves their shared interests and further strengthens the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and their friendly peoples.
