استقبل معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلّف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الأحد الموافق 14 يونيو 2026، سعادة السفير هلال بن عبد الله بن علي السناني، سفير سلطنة عُمان غير المقيم لدى دولة ليبيا.
وفي مستهل اللقاء، رحب معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور بسعادة السفير، متمنيا له التوفيق والنجاح في مهامه الجديدة سفيرا لبلاده لدى دولة ليبيا.
من جانبه، أعرب سعادة السفير عن شكره وتقديره لوزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي على ما قدمته من دعم وتسهيلات أسهمت في استكمال إجراءات اعتماده سفيرا لسلطنة عُمان لدى دولة ليبيا.
وخلال اللقاء، استعرض الجانبان علاقات التعاون الثنائية بين البلدين الشقيقين، وسبل تطويرها وتعزيزها في مختلف المجالات بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الشقيقين.
وفي هذا السياق، أشاد الجانبان بالعلاقات الأخوية المتميزة التي تجمع دولة ليبيا وسلطنة عُمان، مؤكدين حرصهما على تعزيزها والارتقاء بها إلى مستويات أوسع من التعاون والتنسيق.
كما اتفقا على الشروع في الإجراءات اللازمة لتشكيل اللجنة العليا الليبية العُمانية المشتركة، بهدف تعزيز التعاون السياسي والاقتصادي بين البلدين، إلى جانب الإعداد لتوقيع اتفاقية للتشاور السياسي بين وزارتي خارجية البلدين.
كما تبادل الجانبان وجهات النظر حول عدد من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية الراهنة ذات الاهتمام المشترك.

His Excellency Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received today, Sunday, 14 June 2026, His Excellency Ambassador Hilal bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Sinani, the non-resident Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Libya.
At the outset of the meeting, H.E. Mr. El-Baour welcomed H.E. the Ambassador and wished him success in his new duties as Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Libya. For his part, H.E. the Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the support and facilitation provided in completing the procedures related to his accreditation as Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Libya.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and discussed ways to further strengthen and expand cooperation across various fields in a manner that serves their mutual interests.
In this context, both sides commended the distinguished fraternal relations between Libya and the Sultanate of Oman and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing and advancing these ties to broader levels of cooperation and coordination. They also agreed to initiate the necessary procedures for the establishment of a Libyan-Omani Joint Higher Committee, aimed at promoting political and economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as to prepare for the signing of a Political Consultation Agreement between the foreign ministries of both countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on a number of current regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Najeeb Al-Rayani, Director of the Arab Affairs Department.
