أقامت وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الاثنين الموافق 8 يونيو 2026، حفل استقبال في طرابلس بمناسبة يوم أفريقيا، بحضور أعضاء السلكين الدبلوماسي والقنصلي المعتمدين لدى دول. ليبيا.
وأكد الطاهر سالم الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون الوزارة، في كلمته اعتزاز دولة ليبيا بانتمائها الأفريقي والتزامها بدعم التكامل والوحدة والتنمية في القارة، مشيرا إلى دورها التاريخي في دعم مسيرة الاتحاد الأفريقي واستضافة عدد من المؤسسات والتجمعات الأفريقية.
كما شدد الباعور على حرص ليبيا على تعزيز السلم والأمن والتعاون الاقتصادي في أفريقيا، من خلال دعم المؤسسات القارية والمبادرات التنموية، وفي مقدمتها بنك الاستثمار الأفريقي. وأكد أن التحديات الراهنة تستوجب تعزيز العمل الأفريقي المشترك وتطوير آليات التنسيق لتحقيق تنمية مستدامة وحضور أفريقي أكثر تأثيرًا على الساحة الدولية.
وشهد الحفل تكريم عدد من الدبلوماسيين الليبيين السابقين، إلى جانب عميد السفراء الأفارقة، السفير غي كورنيل سامبا، تقديرا لجهودهم في تعزيز العلاقات الليبية الأفريقية والتعاون بين دول القارة.
On Monday June 8, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation held a reception in Tripoli to celebrate Africa Day, attended by members of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited to the State of Libya.
In his speech, His Excellency Mr. El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, emphasized Libya’s pride in its African identity and its commitment to supporting continental integration, unity, and development, highlighting the country’s historical role in supporting the African Union and hosting several African institutions and regional organizations.
El-Baour also stressed Libya’s dedication to promoting peace, security, and economic cooperation across Africa by supporting continental institutions and development initiatives, notably the African Investment Bank.
He noted that current challenges require enhanced African collaboration and strengthened coordination mechanisms to achieve sustainable development and a stronger African presence on the international stage.
The event included the honoring of several former Libyan diplomats, alongside the Dean of African Ambassadors, His Excellency Ghi Cornel Samba, in recognition of their contributions to strengthening Libyan-African relations and fostering cooperation among African nations.
