استقبل معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الخميس 4 يونيو 2026، بديوان الوزارة، سعادة سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى دولة ليبيا السيد، نيكولا أورلاندو، ورئيس بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي للإدارة المتكاملة للحدود (اليوبام) السيد فيدريك بترسون، بحضور مدير إدارة الشؤون الأوروبية السيد أبوبكر إبراهيم الطويل، والسيد مصعب حمزة، رئيس قسم الاتحاد الاوروبي.
وناقش الجانبان سبل تعزيز التعاون بين ليبيا والاتحاد الأوروبي في عدد من المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما يدعم جهود التنمية والاستقرار ويعزز الشراكة بين الجانبين، إلى جانب تبادل وجهات النظر بشأن عدد من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الصلة.
كما تطرق اللقاء إلى عدد من المسائل الفنية، من بينها ملف رفع القيود المفروضة على الطيران الليبي إلى الأجواء الأوروبية، بالتنسيق مع مصلحة الطيران المدني، إضافة إلى برامج رفع الكفاءة وبناء القدرات للمؤسسات الليبية، مؤكدين على أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة.
His Excellency Mr. Al-Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received today, Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, His Excellency the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Mr. Nicola Orlando, and the Head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission (EUBAM), Mr. Fredrik Pettersson, in the presence of Mr. Abubaker Ibrahim Al-Tawil, Director of the European Affairs Department, and Mr. Musab Hamza, Head of the European Union Section.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Libya and the European Union in a number of areas of mutual interest, in support of development and stability efforts and to further enhance the partnership between the two sides. They also exchanged views on several related regional and international issues.
The meeting also addressed a number of technical matters, including the lifting of restrictions imposed on Libyan aviation in European airspace, in coordination with the Civil Aviation Authority, as well as programs aimed at improving efficiency and building the capacities of Libyan institutions. Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation in a manner that serves their shared interests.
