التقى معالي السيد، الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الثلاثاء 28 أبريل 2026، مع السيد، جيريمي برنت، القائم بأعمال سفارة الولايات المتحدة لدى ليبيا.
ركز اللقاء على سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، خاصة في مجالات الطاقة والبنية التحتية والتعليم والتدريب، إضافة إلى تبادل الخبرات.
كما ناقش الجانبان تطورات الوضع السياسي في ليبيا، ودور البعثة الأممية، إلى جانب التطرق للأوضاع الدولية الراهنة.
وفي ختام الاجتماع، أكد الطرفان أهمية استمرار المشاورات السياسية بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة.
His Excellency, Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today Tuesday, April 28, 2026, with Mr. Jeremy Brent, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy to Libya.
The meeting focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the fields of energy, infrastructure, education, and training, in addition to the exchange of expertise.
The two sides also discussed developments in the political situation in Libya, the role of the UN mission, and broader international developments.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of continuing political consultations in a manner that serves mutual interests.
