عقد معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية، صباح اليوم الاثنين الموافق 27 أبريل 2026، بديوان رئاسة الوزراء، اجتماعا ثنائيا مع معالي وزير خارجية اليونان جيورجوس غيرابتريتيس، الذي وصل إلى طرابلس صباح اليوم على رأس وفد رفيع المستوى.
ورحب الباعور بمعالي الوزير، مؤكدا عمق العلاقات التاريخية التي تربط البلدين الصديقين، وحرص حكومة الوحدة الوطنية على الدفع بها نحو آفاق أرحب، بما يعزز المصالح المشتركة ويخدم الاستقرار والتنمية في منطقة حوض البحر المتوسط.
واستعرض الجانبان مسار التعاون الثنائي، وبحثا سبل تطويره وتوسيعه ليشمل مجالات استراتيجية، من بينها الطاقة والطاقات المتجددة، والبنية التحتية، والنقل البحري، والاقتصاد الأزرق، إلى جانب تعزيز الشراكات في مجالات التعليم العالي، والبحث العلمي، والتبادل الثقافي، وبناء القدرات المؤسسية.
كما تناولت المباحثات مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية والدولية، حيث شدد الطرفان على أهمية تكثيف التنسيق السياسي وتبادل وجهات النظر، بما يسهم في دعم الأمن والاستقرار، وتعزيز مقاربات الحلول السلمية للأزمات، وترسيخ مبادئ حسن الجوار والتعاون الإقليمي.
وفي إطار معالجة التحديات المشتركة، ناقش الجانبان ملف الهجرة غير النظامية، مؤكدين أهمية اعتماد مقاربة شاملة تقوم على تقاسم الأعباء، وتعزيز التعاون الأمني والفني، وتكثيف برامج التدريب، ومعالجة الأسباب الجذرية للهجرة، بما يحقق التوازن بين البعد الإنساني والمتطلبات الأمنية.
كما بحث الطرفان أعمال اللجنة الفنية الليبية – اليونانية المشتركة لترسيم الحدود البحرية، وأكدا التزامهما بمواصلة الحوار البنّاء بروح إيجابية، استنادا إلى قواعد القانون الدولي، وبما يعزّز الاستقرار ويخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين.
وتطرق اللقاء إلى دور الشركات اليونانية في دعم جهود إعادة الإعمار داخل ليبيا، في إطار خطة حكومة الوحدة الوطنية (عودة الحياة)، حيث تم التأكيد على أهمية تهيئة بيئة استثمارية جاذبة، وتوسيع مجالات التعاون الاقتصادي، لا سيما في قطاعي الطاقة والبنية التحتية، إضافة إلى فرص التعاون في مجالات الصحة، والسياحة، والخدمات اللوجستية.
كما شدد الجانبان على ضرورة تسهيل عودة الشركات اليونانية إلى السوق الليبية، واستئناف الرحلات الجوية المباشرة، وتعزيز الربط البحري، بما يسهم في تنشيط حركة الأفراد والبضائع، ودعم التبادل التجاري، وتوطيد الشراكة الاقتصادية بين البلدين.
واختتم اللقاء بالتأكيد على أهمية استمرار قنوات التواصل رفيعة المستوى، وتفعيل الأطر المؤسسية المشتركة، بما يعكس الإرادة السياسية للارتقاء بالعلاقات الليبية – اليونانية إلى مستويات أكثر تقدما وتكاملا.
His Excellency Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral meeting on Monday morning, April 27, 2026, at the Prime Minister’s Office with His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Georgios Gerapetritis, who arrived in Tripoli earlier that morning at the head of a high-level delegation.
El-Baour welcomed the Greek Foreign Minister, emphasizing the depth of the historical ties between the two friendly countries and the Government of National Unity’s commitment to advancing these relations toward broader horizons, in a manner that enhances mutual interests and supports stability and development in the Mediterranean region.
The two sides reviewed the course of bilateral cooperation and discussed ways to develop and expand it to include strategic sectors such as energy and renewable energy, infrastructure, maritime transport, and the blue economy, in addition to strengthening partnerships in higher education, scientific research, cultural exchange, and institutional capacity building.
The discussions also addressed recent regional and international developments, with both sides stressing the importance of intensifying political coordination and exchanging views in a way that contributes to supporting security and stability, promoting peaceful approaches to resolving crises, and reinforcing the principles of good neighborliness and regional cooperation.
In addressing shared challenges, the two sides discussed the issue of irregular migration, emphasizing the importance of adopting a comprehensive approach based on burden-sharing, strengthening security and technical cooperation, expanding training programs, and addressing the root causes of migration, in a manner that balances humanitarian considerations with security requirements.
The two parties also reviewed the work of the joint Libyan–Greek technical committee on maritime border delimitation, affirming their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue in a positive spirit, based on the rules of international law, in a way that enhances stability and serves the mutual interests of both countries.
The meeting also touched on the role of Greek companies in supporting reconstruction efforts within Libya under the Government of National Unity’s “Return to Life” plan. Emphasis was placed on the importance of creating an attractive investment environment and expanding areas of economic cooperation, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors, as well as opportunities for cooperation in health, tourism, and logistics services.
Both sides also stressed the need to facilitate the return of Greek companies to the Libyan market, resume direct flights, and enhance maritime connectivity, contributing to the movement of people and goods, supporting trade exchange, and strengthening the economic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of maintaining high-level communication channels and activating joint institutional frameworks, reflecting the political will to elevate Libyan–Greek relations to more advanced and integrated levels.
